About Phillipa Criswell
Phillipa is a fixture of Marin County’s real estate industry, where she has lived and worked for more than 40 years. She began her real estate career in 1975, when she bought land on the tip of Belvedere Island and built a home there. At the time, she was working as an emergency room nurse and spending her off-duty hours pursuing her true passion… real estate.
Since then, she has been active in property management in Marin County, through the buying, selling and renting of homes, earning the respect and appreciation of her clients.
Phillipa started working as a full-time agent for Coldwell Banker in 2003, and later joined Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty, where she is currently employed.
She is an excellent negotiator, and is well-prepared for every consultation. Before any documents are signed or any discussions begin, Phillipa always asks herself, “Is this in my client’s best interest?” Her clients attest to her integrity, commitment and attentiveness to their needs.
Phillipa stays well informed about local market real estate conditions through continuing education and networking groups, and is dedicated to counseling her clients based on current trends and market insights.
As a seller’s agent, Phillipa leverages her exceptional marketing skills and the superb marketing team at Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty to maximize exposure for her clients’ listings locally, nationally and internationally, both online and in print.
As a buyer’s agent, she brings the rich insights of a long-time Marin County resident who has raised a family there to advise her clients about different towns and areas, the amenities and lifestyles they have to offer, and the various school systems. Her own children attended both public and private schools in Marin County and San Francisco.
Phillipa moved to Belvedere, and later Tiburon, from New Zealand, she has lived in Tiburon and Belvedere for forty plus years. In her spare time, she plays competitive USTA tennis for the Belvedere Tennis Club. She is also a board member of the Lyford Cove Old Tiburon Neighborhood Association, and a member of The Children’s Theatre Association of San Francisco.
