On February 10th, residents of Belvedere are invited to embark on a picturesque 4-mile fun run along the city's historic walking lanes. Organized by Charlie Harrington, a dedicated resident and member of the Parks, Opens Spaces, and Lanes Committee, the second annual Belvedere Challenge promises a delightful experience for both runners and walkers alike.

Event Details:

  • Date: February 10, 2024
  • Meeting Point: Park bench on the corner of West Shore Road and San Rafael Avenue
  • Time: 10:00 AM (Participants gather); 10:15 AM (Event starts)

The event kicks off at 10:15 AM, leading participants on a scenic journey through 18 of Belvedere's 22 named public walking lanes. Starting south along West Shore Road to Belvedere Avenue, the route zigzags across the island, climbing lanes on Corinthian Island, and concludes at Sam’s Anchor Cafe in Tiburon.

Throughout the course, participants will enjoy breathtaking views of:

  • San Francisco Bay
  • Golden Gate Bridge
  • Belvedere Lagoon
  • Belvedere Island
  • Corinthian Island
  • Angel Island
  • Alcatraz Island
  • Downtown Tiburon
